Does anyone know of any organizations that help people find places to stay while they are away from home for medical treatments? Specifically looking for information on New York City based ones, though if anyone knows of any that are based elsewhere, I would try them as well, in the hopes that one group might know of others.

ETA = to clarify, it's the patient who needs a place to stay , as he is receiving outpatient medical care.
