Trying to educate my neighborhood school about appropriate/inappropriate touch between teacher and student...was wondering if Torah U'Mesorah has any guidelines regarding teacher training for abuse free schools? Does anyone know? Like no hugging students, etc?
Do they have a list of guidelines? Otherwise what guidelines are put in place in yeshivas across the board?
Any information would be very helpful. Thanks!!

Every school that I know about does not allow touch between Rebbe/Morah and student. This has been going on for at least 20 years that I know about.

what I want to know is are there any written guidelines? Unfortunately, some schools still need to be educated about appropriate boundaries and I want to have clear guidelines that are written out to present to the menahel

I’m sure it exists. Why don’t you email them?

Not anymore. It's a recipe for a lawsuit.

I was a preschool teacher many years ago. We teachers were shown a video from State for headstart how to interact with the students & one guideline was no sign of affection by touching, hugging kissing even little children

interesting... I don't think my kids school got that memo then. I'm pretty sure I've seen my daughter run over and give a female teacher a hug but now I'm curious and I'll ask them. Teachers have definitely done my daughter's hair for her would that also be a no no?
