Black or nude tights to a wedding tonight?
I’m coming in to Brooklyn for a wedding and not sure what’s done now. I know I can do whatever I want but I don’t feel comfortable being the odd man out.
Thank you!

Many people wear nude to weddings in the winter too so you wouldn't stand out.
I'd wear black tonight but that's just me, even though I think the majority of people will he wearing nude.

I also think it depends what dress and shoes you're wearing. Everyone used to wear black to weddings but I've been seeing some colorful prints lately, and shoes that are colorful too. A gorgeous pair of light colored suede shoes caught my eye recently. Lighter colors and black tights are probably a fashion no-no, but what do I know?
Can you post a PSA tomorrow and tell us what you saw?
It would be such fun if you posted a photo, legs and shoes only, from the dance floor!
Enjoy the simcha!

I never wear black tights to weddings. Nude is way more elegant.

I was at a wedding Thursday night and it was half and half. But today is a much cooler day so I'm assuming most people will be wearing black.

The high temperature yesterday was 76° in New York. The temperature this evening is supposed to reach 65°.

To all you fashionistas. When you wear black tights to weddings, are they opaque? (I thought sheer black is out for years already unless it came back) and if you wear opaque tights to the wedding do you wear them with heels too? Or just flats?
To me black opaque tights with heels is very "rebbish" looking, that's why I'm asking.

To me opague tights are weekday wear. Stockings either nude or black are for fancy events like a wedding. I dont like black stockings so I stick to nude but I cant imagine wearing black tights. Maybe its cultural?

Although ive seen people wear opaque black tights and heels to a wedding I only wear nude, even in the freezing winter. I like the look much better, feels way more fancy and dressed up .
I wear black tights with heels to lchaim/vort but not a wedding

So.... now that it’s cold here (finally) if Im wearing a black dress to an evening bar mitzvah in Lakewood I’m assuming it’s black tights, am I right?
It feels like so much black, all black.... but I think nude is pretty much out even though I know it would break up the black...

For a simcha nude is more elegant.
But for a bar mitzvah I think black is ok.
