My daughter is complaining about one arm feeling heaviness or weakness. Anyone ever had experience of such?

I've had it, it was a pulled muscle in my neck. I needed physical therapy.

She has an appointment with her pcp. Would she diagnose something like that?

How old is your daughter? Could be a pulled muscle or something very significant - not for amothers to diagnose. Please call your pediatrician right away.

If she has a pulled/tight muscle near the shoulder, it may be pinching the nerve that runs from the spinal cord to the arm. Once that is confirmed by a dr (specialist like orthopedist, or whatever your pcp recommends to go to for further evaluation). Then usually treatment is physical therapy to relax and loosen muscle plus excersizes or chiropractor....but again depends on what’s causing this

Don't want to scare you but it may CV be a stroke. I know a child that went around like that for over a week. In the end it was a stroke and he had some long lasting symptoms that could have been preventable. Please rule it out!

OP, the diagnosis was confirmed through an MRI.
But if shes in abnormal pain, go to the ER.

Any chance she recently was vaccinated with the flu shot?_

She was just at her pediatrician. She thinks she might know what it is. Did all sorts of blood work. Told me doesn’t think it’s anything too serious. Thanks all
