Are there any (clean and decent) hotels on or near 41st street? Or know of anyone who rents out their home for weekends sometimes (like airbnb style)? Need to be able to walk to bar mitzvah on shabbos.

Days Inn is pretty decent and affordable... Not so new but well kept
