if we are talking about eating breakfast in PJs, just put a bra on and that solves the issue. Or a sweatshirt over.

In my family we all wear bathrobes at breakfast (over PJs). I always buy nice ones not the basic ones.. so my little ones have funny ears or faces on the hood and my older ones have silky ones. It's one of my strongest childhood memories.. my mom sitting at the breakfast table in a bathrobe. I love it because the kids don't get their clothes dirty during breakfast and I have to prepare breakfast so I'd be in a rush to get dressed before. On shabbos we all get dressed right away though... Even if a bathrobe is fancy.. it's still a bathrobe and not shabbosdik ( imo)

My teens don't own nightgowns....they have tee shirts (long or short sleeves depending on the season) and leggings or sweatpants, and zip-ups and slinkies for when they come downstairs.
