How do you make challah dough with 5 lbs. of flour in a standard mixer? As far as I know, most standard mixers are not large enough. Do you make 2 batches?

Yes you need to make smaller batches.

I make one batch of 6 lb flour in the bosch (white bowl). A bit tight but works fine
