My old phone stopped working- it just says Samsung on it when it's turned on but can't open it to home screen. I wanted to transfer the contacts and whatsapps and other things to my new phone. Is there a way to do this if the phone isn't working? tia

You can try connecting it to a PC with a USB cable and see if you can access the files. If so, you can save them to your PC, then connect the new phone and transfer them to there. If they don't show up on the PC, you would need a pro to try to salvage them.
