Apple fritter donuts. You can make parve with soy milk if you want. I've made these several times. Easy, yummy, no yeast and never any leftovers. (Plus a tiny bit healthier with all the apples in them.) I plan on making a batch of these tomorrow for the last night of chanukah.

Any bread from India would work, because they don't use yeast. Roti and Naan are good choices. You can add extra sugar to the batter, or make a sugar and honey glaze to pour over them, like you would do with Bumuelos.

Be careful with churos, you need to make it with a plastic thing tha makes the form and takes the air out of the dough if not it flies from the oil when frying, really dangerous!

Naans are yeast based. Roti/chapati, paratha are not, but they'd be like bricks if you just deep fried that dough.
You can make cake doughnuts, or you can use choux paste, which is what you use for French cruellers. You would need a piping bag for that.
