I get overwhelmed every time I go to the library with my almost 6 year old!

Are there any secular books you can recommend?

Mostly I'd read to her! She is only reading one syllable words.

We're Yiddish speaking; however, I always read to my children in English and here are some favorites. The longer ones are read over a series of time.
