Staying home and having gracious guests who want me to enjoy Yom Tov too and helped around with cleaning, cooking and taking care of my baby. My guests also pushed me to go out with them on Chol Hamoed so that I got some fun time too. I loved every minute of yom Tov this year...even the chaotic parts.

You are so lucky! My guests sat around shmoozing and lying on the couch, literally, and didn’t offer to do so much as fold napkins, let alone do anything really helpful like set the table or dry dishes. The ones with babies I forgive because they really did need to look after their kids, but the singles and newlyweds had no such excuse. Did their mothers not teach them to at least **offer** to help when they visit someone? They all seemed to think they were in a hotel.
