Quote: | Shkia for Shabbos can be easily calculated from the candlelighting time. | True... and most people have those magnets. However, ladies need to know about shkia all week. I guess there are local wall calendars for that.
Quote: | Weekly (or did you mean daily) zman tefila and shkia times could add 8 or 16 or scores of pages to the planner, increase bulk and weight, and raise production costs. | I meant weekly because I realize daily would take too much space.
How many pages are your licht benching times? You might do earliest zman tefilah for the week in the same number of pages.

It's made for students but I really like it for myself. The student yoman is great. You can usually find it in seforim stores at the end of August. Its paperback but pretty sturdy.
Here is a link to last years version on Eichlers

Licht benching takes up 8 pages. But we have to add pages in multiples of 16. This has to do with paper sizes.

Love the covers and all the little extras on the pages, but how can they put the zmanim like that? Is that for NY?
I prefer planners without the hourly schedule per day. I need to write lists of things to do, not necessarily one hour at a time.
This thread is inspiring me to try a planner again.

For people with the driven day planner do you prefer the weekly or daily planner?

Not sure what you mean. Do they have a weekly planner?
I believe mine is the daily. It is beautifully organized and has enough room for me to write all I want to take care of. It gives you extra space for Shabbos and Yomim Tovim.
