I'm very surprised some people seem to think Europe is a dangerous place to be a Jew.
I live in Europe and I visited numerous countries in Europe with my husband, who is very obviously Jewish, and we never had any problem. Not in France, not in Italy, Switzerland, Spain, Belgium, the Netherlands, England, Austria, Prague, Hungary, ....
The only time my husband went "undercover" was when we went to Morocco. (People still realized we were Jewish, and were super kind.)
The only place we got spat at for being Jewish was in Yerushalayim (I guess it wasn't very smart to ask an Arab for directions).
