They come out dry. But you can cook them on low for 2.5 - 3 hours, no longer.
Otherwise use bone-in skin-on chicken breasts which can cook for close to the amount of time as bone-in chicken legs.

I don't really recommended chicken breasts in the crockpot but you can do pulled chicken using sliced onion and whole chicken breasts and pouring a mixture of 1/2 cup BBQ sauce, 2 crushed garlic and 2 Tbsp each brown sugar and soy sauce. Cook on low 2.5 to 3 hours.
