I am a good cook, but totally unfamiliar with meats!!!
I bought the chuck eye roast, not realizing it was chuck eye roast, bec it only says so in small on bottom. in big it says, corn beef pickled.
so I assumed I was buying a regular corn beef.
until my husband took a look at it...
anyone know what I can do with it for rosh hashana???
desperato…
thanks

It's a corned beef just like all others. Cook as you usually do.

Corned beef is any cut of meat that is pickled.
Just cook as you would a corned beef brisket.

My go to corn beef is 3 cups water, about a cup of brown sugar pressed on top of meat, 3 T vinegar. Cover tightly. 400-3 hours.
The new BY cookbook has a great sauce to recook it with on YT- like mustard ketchup brown sugar.
