It depends how you hold and the type of temporary tattoo. The main issue is if residue remains on the skin, or if the tattoo is designed to last more than a few weeks.

I did when I was a teen. Now it seems childish to me.

For those who like the look, do you not associate it with either a very blue collar or even street games gangs or bikers type of crowd? |
The temp tatoos I wear do not look like that at all. I do find that many real tattoos I see on the streets look very low-class-y. But the ones I wear are not that faded blueish look and large, or crass....I wear very dark black, pretty calligraphy type of butterflies, flowers etc. It looks very nice on my skin. Almost elegant, even.

Are the temporary tattoos something you do at home or you need to do it professionally?

Its exactly like the childish kid tattoos, just with adult looking designs.
Stick on skin, apply warm water, 30 seconds later its applied. Some come off easier than others, on their own, but all will easily come off if you rub with some baby oil.

When we were lifeguards we used to put in the fake ones that lasted for 3 days until the camp put an end to it.

The kids tattoos come off in the bath. and they look ugly after a day or 2 because it starts peeling. The adult ones last longer?

No, to me it's super tacky. Either get a proper tattoo or don't.
I personally would love a small one at the nape of my neck. Something geometric. I find it super sxy.
And I'm 28 if that makes a difference.

My understanding is that these temporary tats are for people who are unsure of getting a permanent one and so they get this to live with for a week or two so they can decide if they actually do want to make that commitment.
