I'm a math tutor in Flatbush with multiple certifications and a lot of experience as both a teacher and tutor. I've called the schools, asked my high school teachers to recommend me, and spoken to several people. So far, nothing. I'd like to take on one or two steady cases instead of taking on all the frantic people after Pesach.
Any other ideas of how to get my name out?

Don't call the schools, call the math teachers directly. Advertise in the school calendar, if there is one.

How do I get access to the teachers' phone numbers and the school calendar?
I called my high school teachers directly, and a few of them teach in other schools, as well.

Ask someone in the school for the names of the math teachers and look them up. Some schools have a directory of the staff.
If you have a school calendar, there's always a "to advertise here, please call" ad somewhat. Same for shul bulletins and local newspapers.

Offer to drive to peoples' homes. Even in Boro park. Advertise in the link.. Word of mouth will do the rest (if you're good)

Hi. I would love to use tutor for my 8th grader. She struggles with math for years. But I need to know how much you charge to see if I can afford it. Thanx

Tell all your neighbors, neighbors high school kids and WhatsApp chats that you are tutoring. It'll take time but word of mouth is how it goes and based on how your reputation develops.

Do you know any current, popular math teachers or tutors? If they are confident in how well you tutor, they can recommend you to ppl who call them when they aren't available. It is espc good if they can vouch for your method, ie: I taught her and she teaches in the same style as I do...
