Pishing in a jar..

help..im trying to get my 19 months old to pee in a sample jar...not working!
im at my wits end and he just wont do it!! iv been trying for ages..
can some one please tell me there is a way to do it! a place to press or something and he will pee when I want him to!!??

iv stood him in runnig water.. given him to drink..even put on video of whatevr fall! and just sat here for ages with the jar ready and waiting..

Can you sit him down on a potty and keep giving him drinks till he goes? Then you can pour it into a jar. If you don't have a potty, can you borrow from s/o? Maybe bribe him with a toy to keep sitting.

If it is that important, the doctors office can catheterize him for a sample.

its not crazy important but we just want to find out if he has an urine iinfection.. he has been sick for a while now and the doc said that could be it..
thanks for the ideas..

hes feeling pretty rotten so I feel bad driving him mad..oh well we gotta do what we gotta do!

Can't the doctors office bag him? They tape a bage to him, and then put the diaper back on.

I was going to suggest that; works like a charm without the kid realizing that he is doing what he is supposed to be.

the bag worked for my ds. Also, the other day it was very cold out and we came inside to the warm house and then I went to give him a diaper and for the first time in many many many months, maybe a year, he peed all over. I think it was the change in temperature so rapidly - cold, hot, cold.
