Has anyone ever tried doing repairs/ replacing parts on their own?
We found this website http://www.mykitchencenter.com.....=1135 that lists the part we know needs to be replaced.
DH is quite handy usually.
Should we attempt the repair on our own? We would need to take apart more than just the basic outer cover.
We have the Bosch universal classic - older model.
Advice and input appreciated.

I don't think you have much to lose if you know which part needs to be replaced!

Thanks for replying.
We were actually trying to find YouTube videos, but nothing relating to a Bosch mixer repair comes up.
Does anyone have experience with this?
Right now we are still trying to figure out how to take it apart at certain points, as the connections are not regular screws.
Any other input?

Probably due to leakage, the transmission gear is corroded or something.
There is this pounding sound when we turn it on.
When trying to make a dough, the machine jams and doesn't turn.
I've made a cake with a loose batter and it worked fine, except for the noise.
It looks like this part https://I.imgur.com/SkQP0R8.jpg needs replacing because a chunk of "teeth" are missing.
What we still need to figure out is how to take everything apart. There are some weird bolts or whatever that won't budge.
