Hi all! My son is almost 3 and is terrified of brushing teeth. Obviously, I would do it for him, but he doesn't open his mouth....I tried to push him into it and he threw up....Any ideas on how to encourage him or make it more fun?

Oh, and prizes don't help... Or even treats...

Bh my daughters have always like brushing their teeth (I don't know why, I think they like doing what grownups do) but once I got my 4 year old an electric toothbrush, she got even happier to brush her teeth. She gets the press the button and loves it.

My dentist tells me that in general you should always brush with a very soft toothbrush.
Let him play with toothbrush...
For now, it is more important that he learns how to brush than brushing every day perfectly.
try electrical toothbrush with soft brush
try mouth shower...

He should hang around my 4 year old who decided he needs to brush his teeth 4 times a day.
Kidding aside try a fun light up tooth brush and maybe flavored toothpaste or toothpaste with a character he likes. Also let him play with toothbrushes. He’ll get comfortable with them and toddlers put many things in their mouth at some point or another.
