What are you asking, exactly? And what is the blue container with the sponge, which sounds like either a form of nail polish remover or a method of contraception? How about a brand and product name? Not everyone shops where you do.

Have them professionally lacquered. You’ll never have to polish

I paid about $300 to do my 2 big ones and 4 small ones.
Best money I ever spent. I never need to polish them anymore.
Before I lacquered them they'd tarnish within a few hours if the air condition was on. In the winter it lasted me a bit longer.
Are your candlesticks in the direct line of your air conditioner?

Heat causes silver to tarnish quicker. is your china closet airtight or do you keep it out all week? best isto keep in an airtight cabinet to keep it brighter longer.

We don’t have a china closet so we leave it on the table...weird I know but it makes us look forward to the next shabbos and how lucky we are as Jews to have the beautiful shabbos..
I think so! The flames were moving when it turned on.

Be aware that lacquered silver is duller than properly polished silver and can eventually peel. It is a lot easier to care for but it’s not ideal. It is brilliant for mezuzah covers that have to be out at all times though.

Funny you say about the a/c blowing cuz I find that in the winter I need to polish them a lot more often. I thought the heat was making them tarnish.

I find that sometimes they can last forever and sometimes the week after I polish them they look like they need a good washing. No clue why.

Both are a problem.

Keep away from both direct heat or direct sunlight plus away from air conditioning.

Direct under LED light is also a problem.

Should be stored away at room temperature.

(I work in this field.)

My lacquered leichter is beautiful and not dull at all. You have to do it at a reputable place.
We did it by Eastern Silver on 16th Avenue.
If you care for it properly it shouldn't peel. And if it peels in a couple of years, so be it, we'll relaquer it. Way better than having yellow leichter every week.

Op if you keep it out all week for sure it's going to tarnish.

IME a/c tarnished it super quick, much more than heat.

So what’s the best polish out there?

I also found that sunlight can affect it so if the sun was shining and the window shade open it can tarnish and humidity also causes it to tarnish quicker. I gave up. Sometimes my sliver looks gold because I’m too lazy to polish.
My mother and mother in law both use crystal because they hate polishing silver

You probably had the air conditioner on. The more it blows on the silver, the faster is tarnishes.
