If you and dh are out of a job, is it possible to still get health insurance for cheap? Not eligible for medicaid. In NY.

If you lost your health insurance due to losing your job then that is a qualifying event and you can sing up on the marketplace.

Can you sign up in advance a few days before? Or have to wait till it's over? If you didnt lose the job, the contract was only for a specified time period and now its over, does that qualify?
