NY is not a hotspot. It has the lowest numbers ever. At this point, these kids are not at risk for infecting anyone in vermont. and they are not even leaving the premises. The whole thing is making a mountain of a molehill and a storm in a glass of water. |
Ok great. I don’t see the purpose of OP posting here in the first place then. If everything is going swimmingly, some initial bad press has been replaced by good press, why on earth draw attention to this? As I said previously, I had never heard of what was going on until OP directed my attention to it. And I regularly read Vt news.

In PA there are zoning and taxing issues but that won't be applicable until subsequent years. I don't know about MA.

Day camps are allowed to be open in Massachusetts. Overnight/residential/sleepaway camps were meant to be allowed at the start of phase 3 on July 6th but got moved to Phase 4 ("the new normal"), so there is no legal way to have overnight camps this summer in MA. They are being told to wait until next summer.

It’s still a profitable business I know the person who owns the camp. The camp is geared for families who can’t afford more and the camp spends less on the kids another camp that charges more. And parents that can’t afford more are very happy to give their child camp and don’t care for their child to go on a million trips and other things. | [b]
The camp spends just as much per camper as other camps that charge double. Their trips are as frequent and amazing, (1 major trip via coach buses and 1 minor trip... just not this year due to covid) as is their program.
I know. Im currently on their grounds as a married staff member and have been since year 1.
