Grease comes out like magic with dish soap! Try it. Just make sure to rinse out the soap fully after you get the grease stains out, before putting the garment in the washing machine. HE machines cannot! handle the suds.
If your kids want bubbles, make your own with good quality dish soap. The bubble companies seem to be using something else.

Had it in my top loader with no agitator (so no mold) - started when machine was a few months old.
Looks almost like oil stains, happens on all the clothes.
Affresh in the machine didn't help; LG was no help; just ruins clothes sadly.
