Can teen ds say the bedtime krias shema before going to maariv minyan?
DC can only daven maariv late and wants to be in bed right after maariv so he can wake up on time in the morning.
Does anyone know? Of course I'll ask a rav. Just curious to hear what answers others got.

Isn't there something about not talking after the bedtime shema? I could be wrong but I understand that as the last thing to say before bed.

I think as long as he doesn't make the bracha of hamapil. But he can ask his rebbe/Rav. It's good for him to ask and to look for the source and learn how to answer these questions
