I had bought a can of crisco a while back,a nd never found a recipe for it. do u use it instead of margarine? I am looking for a recipe that doesnt need a mixer, so I figured this would be good cuz u dont have to beat crisco.

a friend of mine uses crisco in her choc chip cookies-instead of margarine and says thats why hers are so good.
in general, crisco and marg can be used interchangeably in most baking.
crisco is also used in icing when u want white icing. my icing recipe calls for 1/2 crisco and 1/2 marg.

treat it just like margarine (or butter). beat, melt, whatever the recipe says. another term for crisco (which is actually the brand name) is "vegetable shortening"
