I went to the most horrible sheital macher as a kallah. Ruined my experience, I didnt have my wigs done properly for the first 6 months of my marriage I walked around in snoods all day. It was hard for me.
I finally got my wigs back from her and Im just getting used to wearing sheitals. Now I have a lace front which I do like, but I find that the lace front part gets extremely knotty. Does anyone else have this experience? Is it bc my horrible sheital macher did a terrible job? Throughout the day it looks knotty on my forehead. And in pics too

Not meant to be knotty at all, she needs to re do it.
Could be some of the hairs were sewn in the wrong way

Ugh. How much will that be to repair?
I cant go back to my terrible sheital macher. She NEVER answered my phone calls, texts. She would tell me to show up and then not be home etc. I dont want to deal with her ever again.

You should not have to pay a dime for the repair if you go to her.

She never answered my calls or texts. I really cant go the stress of dealing with her again.
Especially since my two sheitals I bought from her a kallah she didn't do nicely and I had to wear ugly ones during sheva brachos... she use to make comments to me when I sent them back to her to get fixed "oy what now?" They finally started to look somewhat decent.

I think that to spare yourself further aggravation, just ask the people in your neighborhood for references for a very good sheitelmacher, that backs her product, is there when you need her and that keeps her appointments. I don't think it's worth it to go back to the old one.
Good luck op and I hope you find a good one quickly. Bhatzlocha!

Ugh that's so annoying.
Shani wigs (Brooklyn) is great at repairing lace fronts and lace tops. I don't know her pricing.
It's very frustrating to buy a wig by a person who won't service it, and then have to pay someone else to do it. Sympathies.
