I used them in Monsey. Was a nice outing. What do you want to know?

Are you sure it’s a therapist running it?

In monsey this class is run by an instructor who insists on masks and my DS could not do it. It's basically exercise and he came home so upset. I switched him to a different group.

These Advenium groups are not all therapists. The martial arts guy is just that. A martial arts guy.
The dance instructor is just a dance instructor.
There are some groups with actual therapists but the rest are regular instructors in their field.

Yes. That’s what I noticed. The title would be something like “dance therapy” but was led by an instructor not a therapist. Which is ok if that’s what you’re looking for but can be misleading if you’re looking for legitimate movement therapy.

So how does it work? Its covered by insurance but it's regular art/dance/gym fun classes for anyone who wants to join?

Is it a managed care facility?
Otherwise, how does insurance cover services that are not provided by a licensed provider?
The concept sounds very interesting!

Maybe because the place itself is run by licensed people?

I just called them for info this week because dc's doctor recommended one of their groups for my 4 year old. Turns out that they only service 5+, so not shayach, but I asked them about how it works. They said that some of the groups are run by therapists, while others are overseen by a therapist but run by an instructor in that field who were trained by the therapist that supervises them. It's up to 12 children in a group, and when you sign up it's for a 12 week cycle.
The social worker at my child's doctor's office that recommended them said she loked into them before recommending and it's legit. Maybe next year...

I want to clarify, becuase I never like to post on these chats, I was suffering from ppd (post-partum) Adveniums programs are real therapy, it worked for me. It is activities put together with lots of therapy guidance and information. I think anyone who thinks its a scam doesn't understand the importants of therapy. They have a new clinical director who is amazing
