According to the engineers who created social media, we are all being manipulated to make us addicted for the purpose of showing us ads. There are many scientific experiments that were conducted for the express purpose of controlling our behavior. Has anyone seen this documentary?

I thought this was well-known.
SoMe is free to use, but these companies make billions of dollars. Their money comes from targeted digital ads.
That's their business model.

I knew a lot of this before I watched the documentary because I worked for a .com several years ago. The entire business model of a website is to keep you engaged and make you look at and click ads.

These corporations spend millions of dollars to keep you on their app for one more second. It's crazy. I remember there was a Mishpacha Lifelines a few years ago about someone who worked for one of the main social media companies who explained a lot of this.

I watched it. It was what we all already knew, but phrased in a certain way, with dramatic music in the background. The main takeaway which again, we all already knew -
If you are not paying for a product, it means you ARE the product.
