I've been to couples massages where we have an hour before to shower, bathe etc.... never gone myself and finally giving myself some self care. Can anyone, familiar with how it works, tell me if they give you the shower to use before all massages or are you expected to shower at home before you go?

You should arrive clean, but I don’t think it’s expected that you’ve showered immediately before. Showering in the morning is fine (assuming you’re not exercising or playing in the mud with your kids etc).
