Are you referring to Hanna and her seven sons?
It's very far fetched because the woman in the legend, in all its early iterations - in 2 Maccabees (the original source for the story) and in the Gemara and other sources was never named. Later, in Eichah Rabbah she is referred to as Miriam and tied to the period of the churban - not the period of Hanukkah, and only at the end of the early medieval period does the name Hanna first appear as the mother of the sons.
So, maybe in popular tradition there is a link (in addition to the phonetic link) but the historical basis is very scanty at best.
OTOH Hanna - the mother of Shmuel Hanavi - is one of the most prominent female figures in Tanach. She is one of the seven neviot according to chazal, who also uphold her tefilla as the basis upon which Jewish prayer is modeled.
