Kids are outgrowing their coats mid-season but it looks like stores are on to pre-spring sales. I really would rather not spend a lot. But we need something warm and on the long side (I personally don't understand how anyone is warm in short jackets in the actual winter). Girls sizes 8-10. Imamother internet shopping wizards, let's see what you've got!

The long coat at Gap is out of stock in size 10, doesn't seem worth getting size 8 at this point - the one they had before is 6-7 and already too small

Actually at $30 each maybe it IS worth it... I'd much rather know that we're set for the next couple of years but... sigh.

OK PSA gap coupon codes right now are amazing, and if anyone sees anything comparable that DOES come in size 10 please post here because I'm still interested, and if anyone will need size 8 next year I might know someone looking to resell cheap

Also if you call them they may be able to check if they have one in a store anywhere in the country and ship to you.
What about this? Extra 50 off clearance https://www.eddiebauer.com/p/8.....=M%20(10%2F12)

I also need one, my daughter's coat ripped. But I need a size 14. Every single gap coat close to her size is sold out. Any ideas?
Seeker, can you let me know if you ended up calling a gap store if it helped?

Really? I kept checking the Gap website over the next couple of days and never saw it go back in stock. Oh well. I just came back on here to update that my size 8s arrived today and BH they fit. They actually seem very roomy and the sleeves are quite long, so I guess they run differently than the older version I had, because the S/6-7 sleeves were actually short already and the M/8 sleeves are covering one DD's hands. So I would consider this as running large.
On a related note, while coat shopping I noticed a lot of places that used to make down coats (including Gap) are now using synthetic fills. Are these actually providing a similar level of warmth, and if not, where did all the down coats go?
