Our headboard goes up to a middle point which partially blocks the windows.
It doesn't bother us bc it is symmetrical, and we keep those curtains closed for privacy anyway.
We use a different window for light and air.

Really? Wow, I totally learned that the other way!

Do you have a source? I'd love to get it right. I don't have who to ask right now.

I’m going to ask my father, I’ll get back to you.

I just called him. He said the feet go facing the door, but it’s not because of a meit, because you don’t necessarily turn the body around. He’s going to look it up and call me back.

Had similar issue. Room designed for king with windows on either side. I was torn what to do but decided on two queens with night table in between and on both sides. The two windows are blocked 75 percent in width and 40 percent in height. I have two windows on the other side of the room as well. It took me about a year to actually do it. So had plenty of time to see the room with no headboards. I am beyond thrilled with the headboards and I have them for a year. Am I annoyed that it’s not exactly what I’d call symmetrical? Yes. But definitely do not regret my decision.
