Make a list of what you need.
1 good pot, 1 good pan, and make a menu so lots can be made in the kashered oven in disposable pans.
Aluminum blech cover for the stovetop (keep cholent and hot water over the blech as well - or buy a hot plate, crockpot and hot water urn).
Mixing spoons, measuring cups/spoons, can opener/corkscrew, spatula, soup ladle, strainer - you can get away with this from dollar store if you need to the 1st year, while you figure out what you really like).
Knives and peelers - buy good quality.
Hand grater (can use for garlic, charoses, kugel - if you make lots of kugels and have room to store, buy a food processor instead).
Tablecloth (you can wash your regular one and not have to buy a new one).
Counter cover.
