Looking for ideas to remove lip hair easily and non-expensively. Any tried and true methods?

Just bought a waxing kit on amazon for $40. Seems to do the trick.

How can you do a waxing for yourself? ouch.
I always cringe right before the esthetician pulls the strip off. I don't think I'd have the courage to puuuull the hair off...
Can you share how it went the first time you tried it?

I'd love to try the DIY at home waxing.
Could anyone that uses it share how it went the first time you tried it?
