What type of community is it?
Is it walking distance to gimmel?

1. Yes many people.
2. It's majority chassidish but people are trying to convert it to a mixed place. There's everything from women wearing pants and dati leumi to chassidish.
3. Daled when finished will be triple the size of gimmel if not bigger. There will be Daled 1,2,3,and 4. Right now 1 is where most people live but there's a small community in 2. You can walk from Daled to Gimmel but as I mentioned before, Daled is quite large so you need to find where the border is and the area closest to gimmel.

I know two families moving in soon. Both are Russian Chareidi, and not chassidish.

It's a mix. There's some of that type and people that aren't.

Any of these new Beit Shemesh communities attracting a sizeable non-haredi community? I mean newer than mishkafayim and mem-3.

I know a young family who bought there on paper and are hoping to move after the chagim. I would call them chardal, aspiring to chareidi. They'll probably fit in with whatever the dominant local culture turns out to be.
