When to put in the crock pot?
Frozen or defrosted?
Shabbos meal is probably 2pm.
The cut is rib... Spare or top I forget.
What to put on it? Sauce or just some oil or water, so it doesn't burn?
Help a newbie out!

Definitely defrosted. I put onions cut into rings on bottom then the meat. I pour bone sucking sauce on top and add water as its cooking if needed. But usually its not needed.

What type of meat do you use for this? Do you leave it on low?

OK good you responded bc I have to take it out of freezer then!! But its not too many hours? I can set up crock pot raw at around 8pm and it's more than 12 hours... Maybe 18 hours til the meal...
