Any good recipe for a split peas, lentils....soup please?

oo I have a great lentil soup recipe
dice 2 onions and saute in olive oil in the soup pot
add 2-3 celery ribs and 2-3 carrots
stir and satue a little bit more
add a bag of lentills and pour in about 4 qts water. The lentils will expand ALOT.
When the water comes to a boil, add broth powder, thyme, salt, pepper, and 2 bay leaves.
U can also go a bit morrocan or indian and add cumin, cayenne, and/or turmeric or just add curry powder, all these variations are fantastic!
