Trifle- fridge or freezer?

so im making trifle for the first time for my purim seuda. its layers of cookies dipped in coffe/liquor and rich whip.
the recipe says to put it in teh freezer but I borrowed my friend's trifle bowl and dont want to break it-its glass I think. is it safe to put in the freezer or should I just leave it in the fridge?

ive put my trifle in the freezer. its glass. and nothing has happened to it. if your just worried about it breaking, then just be careful how u lay it. the cold should not break the glass. (or so I hope!!) lol

I can't imgine freezing it, but if loves does it, she must know what to do .... how long does it take to defrost? how's the consistency afterwards?

well that depends on the recipe CM. the trifle I made was like ice cream and supposed to be served frozen, so no defrosting there.

if the recipe you're making yedidya is a frigde recipe, then y not put it in the fridge. but if its a frozen recipe, dont worry about it.

the recipe says freezer but everyone I asked said fridge so im confused amd worried abt breaking my friends dish. doesnt glass crack in the freezer?

I think Imake the same trifle...with the cookies and coffee and liquor. It is soooooooo yummy...peole devour it! Anyway, I always put it in teh fridge..and I've made it 2 days in advance and it has been fine in teh fridge. Ooooh, you're making me hungry!

glass cracks in a freeezer if it's full of liquid and then sealed. because it expands.
