Same problem here, and what's worse, sometimes they mean it when they're angry or frustrated. I sometimes toy with the thought of presenting especially my sons on their wedding day with a bill for all the avoidable or willful damages they've caused.

I feel like it is part of their job description. (Joking) but I understand your frustration

How does everyone elses house look normal?
They just keep breaking things- ripping screens, breaking headboards, dings in the wall, ripping linen, coloring on things
Obviously I teach, and try to take it in stride, and they apologize and then do it again
Im so frustrated

I am a bona fide card carrying member of the child house destroyers! No real solutions other than they do seem to be less destructive as they get older. I try and keep them outdoors as much as possible as there's less damage they can do outdoors and they are calmer. Be as minimalist as possible and lock whatever you can away.
If you want to guarantee something that will get messed up/broken, just tidy or sort out the area!

What is your discipline method for when they do break something? Are there consequences to their actions?

Most of the examples above were really done by accident..
My kids see Im upset, apologize , I ask them to be more careful
They were leaning on the headrest and it cracked 🤷♀️
I I make rules- no throwing balls on the main floor
Today s-o tossed a flashlight to the couch and made a big dent in the wall 🤷♀️
He apologized- now what?
