Hadassah may be considered an old lady name in Dati leumi or chiloni circles but not chareidi. It’s gaining popularity as a more unique but still tanachi acceptable name.

My nephew's wife is dati -leumi, Israeli, living in Israel, in her mid-twenties. She was called Hadas until highschool and then switched to Hadassah....

My daughter who is in her early twenties and has grown up in Israel has always liked and been very comfortable with her name. Although her name is listed as Hadassa on her passport , birth certificate etc and has never really been problematic, we have on occasion used the name Daisy when in chutz laaretz...

Our daughters name is Hadassa , we chose the name as she was born on Succos and felt its a beautiful name. We never came across any difficulty with the pronounciation, although being 3 sylabuled its a bit of a mouthful
