My baby is 8 months old. She always puts her hands backwards not forward. I brought it up to the pediatrician a while ago and she wasn't really concerned. She thought when my baby had more tummy time she would put her hands forward automatically. (She wasn't clear for tummy time for 4 months due to a surgery)
I'm going to bring her back to the doctor since I'm getting a little concerned but has anyone ever had this?

Weak core. I had this with my baby too. I took her to ped and he said it was fine but I had some concerns. I got her evaluated for PT and they told me it was related to a weak core and she needed therapy. It did get better within a few months of starting PT.
Just editing to add that she's 7 now and doing just fine bh!
