It's so frustrating my 2.5 year feels exactly when I'm about to go into bed thats when he usually wakes up. I feel like he's really old enough to be sleeping through the night it can take up to an hour to get him back to sleep ! Any solutions??

Duct tape him to the bed. It's the only way.
Otherwise, you'll just have to wait until he grows out of it, usually around 5 or 6 years old. Welcome to parenting!

Sleep training. We bribe my toddler with a treat in the morning to stay in bed and put herself back to sleep. I'll go in and tuck her in again and then say goodnight and walk out she she falls asleep alone
