small batches? I make small quantities of challah dough for challah rolls once every few weeks (not enough to be mafrish on). Is it worth getting it so I don't have to knead by hand, or is it annoying to clean the machine and store it?

I love my Bosch! Only need to wash the bowl and dough hook. I use it 2-3 times a week. It’s dishwasher safe too. Why not take challa ? It’s a big mitzva.. Enjoy!

I only use my Bosch for 5 lbs flour recipes. For smaller doughs like 8 cups or less I use the kitchen aid. IMO it’s much easier to clean the kitchen aid than the Bosch because the cover has annoying crevices

I love my Bosch
But I never ever use it bec I hate to clean it.
I use a bread machine regularly for small yeast dough batches or hand mixer.

If you have a good dishwasher you can put the Bosch bowl, cover and dough hook in to clean.

Love my bosch. It made me love making challah! I don't have a dishwasher so I buy cheap sponges from the dollar store and use one to clean the crevices and then throw the sponge out. (Gets full of dough) as easy as washing any other item...

I love my Bosch, but would not get it for small batches. First of all it takes up a lot of room. Also I use the metal bowl for dough since the store told me if you use the plastic bowl for dough it breaks the machine.
Not sure about plastic bowl cuz I never use it, but the metal bowl is annoying to clean b/c of crevices in the lid. I tried the hack to put the lid in a plastic bag, but didn't work for me. Maybe I did it wrong. Also the metal bowl has attachments that need to be unscrewed and cleaned every time. Big pain.

I dont have a dishwasher. It sounds like it's difficult to clean, unless I use the sponge method.

Does it take up a lot of room, is it heavy?
