Our refrigerator is right up against the wall so when we open up the refrigerator door, the handle bangs into the wall. My husband put an adhesive door knob wall protector on the wall so that the wall doesn't get scratched up. We moved the fridge slightly, so now the handle no longer hits the center of the protector. I'd like to safely remove the wall protector and place a new one in a better spot, but don't know how to do this without stripping the paint. Any ideas?

Point a hot blow dryer at the pad for a few minutes, then try gently peeling it off. Use nail polish remover, alcohol, Goo Gone (TM) or WD-40 to clean up any remaining adhesive residue.
