My 11 yo son almost never complains. Not like he’s a drama queen or anything. Last week he was limping a bit and said his knee hurts a ton. On the second day of that, went to dr, took throat culture and was negative. 2 days later it was better. Later in the week he complained his elbow hurt a ton. It lasted one day so I kind of ignored it. Today suddenly out of the blue, he’s complaining his ankle is hurting him and he’s limping. I don’t think it’s just Charlie horse, because why would these body parts suddenly start hurting, all a day or 2 apart from each other? I’m not sure though. Any idea what this could be? Tia

Check for rheumatic fever. Could be he had the strep a few weeks ago and now it's flaring. The throat culture could be negative but you need blood work for signs of infection and inflammation. Don't neglect it. It can be really serious.

He needs bloodwork asap. Notice how these are all joints that are hurting him.

You can go to the doctor to do the right thing.
But don't get nervous, it is very possibly nothing. Children get aches here and there.

If blood tests all pass muster, your next step is to take him to a pediatric rheumatologist, who deals with the joints.

This! Not everything is lyme disease, people! There are many other diseases that can involve joint pain...

Sound like it's specifically his joints. I'm not familiar but have your dr look out for anything related to joints like juvenile arthritis. Somebody mentioned not everything is Lyme. Which is very true but nevertheless it's something you need to rule out.

Maybe he's going through a major growth spurt and it's growing pains.

People are suggesting strep and lyme bc it sounds sudden. Definitely your next step is a rheumatologist for bloodwork for inflammatory markers.
