OMG!!!!!! And you didn’t immediately turn around and leave?!!!!

Idiots who consider themselves elites.

I find it tragic that you consider the shells tragic.

Let us pray, sister. Let us pray. |
I last checked this thread when it was at 2 pages, and figured it might not get much past that. LOL, how is this at 12 pages???
Of course, it will make more sense once I make the time to read all 12, by which point it will be up to 14, and off we go
And yet, we don't have a poll on this thread - missed opportunity there, clearly
Edited to add = by the time I finished typing and posting this, we were already at 13

Ladies, this is impressive. 13 pages about shells! I don't think we've ever pulled off something this outstanding. Things like Tuition, camp, birth control, school crisis etc, those can get 13 page threads, but shells? Wow! Round of applause

Personally, I refuse to buy anything that needs a second layer in the heat. The most I’ll wear is a tank underneath. |
My weekday shells aren't poly.

I'm curious too if anyone can present a timeline. Maybe someone here sells clothes to the frum community and has an insight.

It’s not really about shells. It’s about dresses and tops, and how to get a look that’s stylish and modest. And that’s very pertinent to everyone.
I’ve been looking for lightweight (cotton, linen). Flattering dresses with 3/4 sleeves for a long time. I hate wearing layers and polyester when it’s hot.

Ok Stonewash. Luckily, it's a free country and we are all entitled to our own opinions!

I agree! That's why I like the dress trend, you can find many in linen or cotton.
Disclaimers: I know not all of these have perfect sleeves and necklines. They are all from Target because I don't have time to click around to a lot of websites, but it shows what is out there.

You know, I'm not comfortable in some of these gauzy skirts (I tried on this Target one) even with a long slip. I'd love a pinafore type slip.

So I would need to wear a shell under all those dresses. How does that solve the no shell issue?
