Personally, I keep my yo-yo in my car.

No regrets on my bugaboo lynx! It's my favorite baby purchase. I do regret not getting a donkey second hand because I got a different double (which is great don't get me wrong) bc of price but now I keep seeing used donkeys for sale and the price is so reasonable!! Oh well maybe in a few years

I would get a yo-yo for primarily in and out of the car because it fold tiny, very smooth push and light. Everyone I know who has it loves it.

It’s gorgeous and smooth and at least as good as a Bugaboo, but much nicer looking in my opinion, and definitely more unique. I get a ton of compliments everywhere I go. |
I dont think the Cybex Base is half as strong as the Bugaboo

It depends where you live.
By my first one I lived in the city.
I used it multiple times a day it was fantastic.
My baby lived in it, slept in it, couldn't see any negatives.
Now by my second I moved upstate out of the area.
I need to get everywhere with a car.
My baby is 8 months old and I used my chameleon less than 10 times.
It's in and out of the car with the doona now.
I have nothing g negative to say about the chameleon except that it doesn't fit in our car easily.
So there goes that.
I'm still happy I own it though.

Bugaboo is the best brand, followed by uppababy.
Cybex comes in only third in terms of quality.
The reason I didn’t get any of these, is because all of them have bucket seats, ie baby can’t lie flat, which means it’s uncomfortable for them to nap as they have their legs in the air. Also, I doubt it’s as ergonomically healthy as a non bucket seat, especially when they are too big for bassinet but not sitting properly independently yet.
ETA I stand corrected that cybex does offer lie flat seat. Still isn’t best quality though.

Its great for walking and for a city life where you use your carriage to carry your groceries etc. Its a very strong carriage but bulky if you need it mainly in and out of a car.
The bee is great for that its strong sturdy and easy compact fold. I love it.
For reference I had the chameleon when I lived in israel and LOVED it! It survived 4 kids in perfect condition and carried tens of pounds of groceries for me.
When I moved to lakewood I got the bee and its great! |
Same. I got the chameleon for my oldest when we lived in Israel and I used it for 12 years straight through 5 kids. I switched the fabric at one point because I got bored, but it was still in perfect condition. The only reason I got a new stroller for baby no.6 was that our basement flooded and ruined everything stored there. I went with the bugaboo bee this time since I use the car more than walking nowadays, and I'm loving it. More than the chameleon if that's possible.

Love the bugaboo bee. It can also be used for in and out of the car.

When my oldest was born we didn’t get the bugaboo because at the time it was the hottest new item and my husband didn’t want to go with that fad. Ended up getting a Quinny which was just horrible and I got a citi mini eventually and just used that. When my now 8 year old was born I finally got the bugaboo chameleon I really had wanted. 8 years later, it is in pristine condition, the fabric washes amazingly, and it’s just so solid. Ended up having twins so got the donkey….and we love that just as much!

The cybex priam that I have is not a bucket seat. Lies down mostly flat. I used it from when my baby was 3 days old.
I like my cybex more than my bugaboo.

Ok. But the Priam is SO much heavier than the bugaboo; a big negative if you live where there’s lots of stairs or hills.
(Bugaboo engineering is incredible that they can keep the weight so low and yet produce full size strollers with all the features.)
Also, it doesn’t have the same longevity and is not as well made as the bugaboo brand.
I do actually own a cybex, (balios because it’s more lightweight) but there’s no denying that bugaboo lead the market.
The only bugaboo that does lie flat is the bee, but that isn’t a full size stroller.
OP, I would go for Lynx or Fox for a full size stroller, not cameleon - the front wheels are ridiculously small.

Thanks for all the responses!
1- Does it make a difference where you buy a Bugaboo as far as price and service and points?
2- Which is the best model made now?

I bought a camaleon second hand for $200 from a lady that only used it a handful of times.
I live in Lakewood and drive. Still gonna enjoy it because it’s perfect for taking walks in the neighborhood and as a bassinet at home for the first few weeks. I don’t have an issue putting it in the trunk if we go to a park for a walk etc.

Don't know about 1 since I just got mine at a store local to me, but as far as #2 the main options are Fox (full size, comes with bassinet, what most people go for) and Lynx (a few pounds lighter, bassinet sold separately). If you are getting the bassinet anyways then they are basically the same price wise, otherwise the lynx is cheaper. Fox is the full size model which has a slightly better push and I think also slightly bigger basket, comes in more colors too. I personally went with the lynx because I have a lot of stairs and felt the lightness was worth it, but most people go for the fox from what I see around town. Best thing is to go into a store and push them both for yourself, they are very similar really with only minor differences.
Then there's the donkey which is the double version that can also be used as a single, it is wider than the average single but then converts to one of, if not the, narrowest side by side doubles on the market, I've never owned one but everyone I know who has one is happy with it.
There is also the bee and the ant (I think it's called the butterfly now?) and the cameleon which isn't made anymore but you can still buy; they all have smaller wheels so the push is not the same but they're more compact so that's a trade off.
Hope that helps!

Price is the same all over, unless you find it on sale
Points - I dont know
Best Model - I think the Fox - 2 & 3 are the same, but the Fox 2 is hard to find now.
The lynx is also good

Pish posh baby is Jewish owned, has great customer service and an amazing points system. I’ve been very happy buying through them.
