I am not triggered.
Just pointing out that if you pick up and move to Israel or Spain or Belgium or Japan or Ecuador, you will deal with language issues and cultural issues. In Israel, just because most people here are Jewish does not mean that there are no cultural differences. Most people when they move to another place learn to adapt to their new surroundings, if they make the effort.
Even if you move to England or S. Africa, you will not fit in right away. It takes time and some work on your part... and the right attitude.

Are there not hundreds of thousands of olim that have made israel their homes over the years that have successfully found jobs and are making it here?
And of course there are olim who dont tey. Ive met them. Its not pretty. Nothing is right in this country, according to them.
And we arent triggered 🤦♀️
Its that we want the facts to be told correctly.

You're so funny. No one is being triggered. Someone mentioned that in Israel it works differently and someone else was up in arms that in Israel there are hundreds of kids out of school. All we did was answer that point.
You are looking for solutions? The Israeli solution is to open more classes.
That's all.
And it works.
Except that the schools are huge.
Noone said to move here. Noone spoke anything about finances. Just about school solutions. And yes, I know this thread is about Lakewood but you were looking for models that work for the people who live in that place. Here is a model that works for the people who live in that place. Noone spoke about moving in from outside. Noone spoke about making aliya with teens. Noone suggested moving your kids. Just showing a way where every kid does have a school. And it works.

The big problem about how this would not work in Lakewood is $$$$. Your schools are funded by the government our schools are not. Saying just open another class can be very hard. Were is the money coming in for teachers, space, ect..?

Don't compare to Jerusalem BY highschools. Every few years they run out if space and split up the remaining girls. There are new schools opening every year. The small schools are on a compatible academic level to the larger schools.

Can we be honest about what goes on in the Charedi Beis Yaakovs in Jerusalem?
Yes the Iriya makes sure each kid has a school - but no one can guarantee that the school will be "maatim " for the girl. While the new schools that open are often on a similar academic level the religious level is very often not comparable, which brings many parents keep the kids home
to put pressure on a maatim school to accept them.
The kabasim are overwhelmed - I know a girl who was put in a school that was an awful fit (in this case to frum) and she dropped out and the mother has been running after the kabasim for help getting her daughter into a school since feb. and nothing doing so far...
My niece in 7th grade has already started the "unofficail" acceptance process to ensure she gets in to an appropriate school, because if you wait for the official iriya process chances are you get sent to a school with significantly lower religious standards. This is besides for the schools with 50 kids in a class....
Far far from perfect utopia some of you are describing. I'm pro aliya but you need to compare LKWD to charedi BY - not DL schools. Please don't mis-represent.

To go back to the original topic... if anyone from Lakewood in this situation is looking for area schools, in addition to Bet Yaakov of the Jersey Shore, Ilan HS is also a great place (the student body trends more modern but more spiritual/growth minded). I've known of a couple of Lakewood girls who have gone, one of them actually after switching out of a Lakewood BY because she wanted a stronger secular education.

In Israel the government pays to open new schools.
So no comparison to lakewood where it is extremely expensive to start a girl's high school.
The best solution is for all existing elementary schools to open their own high school to guarantee all their graduates have a suitable high school.
I believe largest girls elementary, Bais Faiga, is opening a high school.
