I skimmed through a few threads on this, but I didn't see any specific amounts.

What can I add to gefilte fish to get more out of it??
I know people do egg and matzah meal, but how much and what else?

TIA

Fish Patties:

1 roll of fish, thawed
2 onions, grated
2 carrots, grated
2 stalks celery, grated
2 tbsp. honey
1/2 tsp. black pepper
1 tsp. salt
2 eggs
3/4 c. matzo meal
1 c. bread crumbs
duck sauce

Preheat oven to 350. In large bowl, mix all ing. besides for bread crumbs and duck sauce. Place heaped spoonfuls into bread crumbs and form patties. Baked on greased baking sheet for 10 min on each side. Spoon duck sauce over each patty. Cover pan tightly with foil and bake for additional 20-30 min.

Enjoy!! They're delicious!

Variation: instead of duck sauce, you can use tom sauce

what you're eating is mostly filler, not fish. when I made this I got complaints. don't forget the gef fish loaf already has a lot of filler in it

IYH I plan to try this for this shabbos.

In my house no one really likes fish. So we don't mind the filler-tasting fish.

So why make it at all?
If it doesn't contribute to your oneg shabbos, I see no reason to make it!
